HIGHWAYS

The pedestrians always a sidelined lot
Destined for a slow pace in all
Struggling to reach stretches so long
Fall behind motors so fast
Pedestrians watch a world so real
But blueeyed sleep well in cars
Reluctant to see the world so near
Seeing the world through tinted glass
Looks so colourful to the eyes so high
The rich has always an unwritten right
To breech a signal so near and red
To knock out a pedestrian crossing his way
And making an abrupt end to his path
Not knowing where his journey ends
Still speeding away at this endless roads...
